Technical principle

RO membrane can be used to remove the salts from seawater, and get the desalted water. And the permeate water is qualified for industrial, agriculture, etc. 

Scope of application

Seawater desalination is suitable for the city around by sea, and there are plenty of seawater resources. And the permeate water can be used widely in industry such as power，metallurgical，petrochemical，drinking，etc.

Process flow and description

Rabigh IPP mainly consists of pre‐treatment section, sea water RO unit, brackish water RO unit and post Treatment section as water treatment plant. 

The end user is steam turbine unit boiler, which is used to produce high-quality steam. The SWRO system consist 4 trains.

SWRO technology is the strategic direction of some countries, it helped solving the water shortage problem, promoting the water reuse, water cycle supply and demand balance. SWRO technology has broad prospects for development.
