The College of Environment, Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT) , founded in 2015, traces its roots back to 1994 with the establishment of its first Environmental Engineering undergraduate program. Its academic lineage extends even further to the "Three Wastes Research Laboratory" created in 1977, making it one of the earliest institutions in China dedicated to environmental protection research .

Upholding the university motto of "Virtue and Vitality" and dedicated to the vision of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," the college is a vital base for talent development and scientific research in the regional environmental protection field .

Academic Strength
The college offers a comprehensive "Bachelor-Master-Doctoral-Postdoctoral" training system. Its Environmental Science and Engineering discipline is a Zhejiang Provincial First-Class Discipline (Category A), and its Environment & Ecology subject ranks among the top 0.2% globally by ESI (Essential Science Indicators) .

Faculty and Research
The college boasts a high-level faculty, with over 100 staff members and more than 35 provincial/ministerial or national high-level talents. It has led numerous key national research projects (including National Key R&D Programs, 973, and 863 Projects) and has won multiple first prizes for scientific and technological achievement from the Ministry of Education and the Zhejiang Provincial Government .

International Collaboration
The college actively seeks global partnerships, establishing long-term collaborative relationships with renowned universities and research institutions in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, and Canada. It offers international joint programs, including a "3+1(2)" Master's program with Ghent University in Belgium and the University of Exeter in the UK .
