Forging Closer China-Indonesia Green Industry Cooperation, ACEF signs MOU with Indonesias | Danareksa to jointly advance the sustainable development of industrial parks

On the afternoon of April 23, 2026, the Exchange and Cooperation Meeting between the All-China Environment Federation (ACEF) and Indonesia’s PT Danareksa (Persero) was successfully held at Menara Danareksa in Jakarta, Indonesia. With the theme of "Promoting Environmental Cooperation in Industrial Parks & Boosting Synergy for Sustainable Development", the meeting focused on key areas including the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) eco-environmental protection industries, joint construction of green industrial parks, wastewater treatment, solid waste disposal and zero-carbon park development, facilitating in-depth integration of environmental protection technologies, industrial resources and park operation between China and Indonesia, and supporting high-quality green and low-carbon development of the two countries.

Mr. Yadi Jaya Ruchandi, President Director of PT Danareksa (Persero), stated in his speech that Indonesia is vigorously promoting the modernization and green upgrading of industrial parks, and attaches great importance to ecological environmental protection, smart industrial parks and sustainable infrastructure construction. He looked forward to establishing long-term and stable cooperation with China in environmental protection technologies, park operation and industrial investment to achieve win-win results and common development.

Mr. Shi Xiang, Secretary General of the Belt and Road Eco-industry Cooperation Working Committee of ACEF, led the Chinese delegation to attend the meeting and delivered a speech. He pointed out that the accompanying Chinese environmental protection enterprises have mature technical systems and rich overseas project experience in green park planning, sewage treatment, solid waste disposal and zero-carbon park development, which are highly compatible with the development needs of Indonesia's industrial parks. The Chinese side proposed an innovative "Twin Park Linkage" cooperation model, promoting pairing and collaboration between Indonesian industrial parks and mature Chinese industrial parks, building a two-way cooperation platform, sharing investment promotion resources, carrying out two-way investment attraction, and creating an innovative model of China-Indonesia industrial park operation.

Ms. Indri Septa Respati, Director of Marketing and Business Development of Industropolis Batang, introduced in detail the layout, investment advantages and green development plans of Danareksa's industrial parks. As an Indonesian state-owned holding group, Danareksa manages a total area of about 7,700 hectares of industrial parks covering key regions such as Java and Sumatra, focusing on the development of petrochemical, energy, high-end manufacturing, logistics and export-oriented industries. Adhering to the concept of intelligent and sustainable development, it is equipped with complete infrastructure such as energy, water affairs, waste treatment and ICT, serving as an important carrier platform for Indonesia's national strategic projects.

Ms. Rachel Liu, Head of Southeast Asia of the International Department of the Belt and Road Eco-industry Cooperation Working Committee of ACEF, introduced the functions of the working committee and the advantages of Chinese enterprises. A number of leading Chinese environmental protection enterprises including Tongfang Environment, Hangzhou Chuhuan Technology, Shandong Pacific Environmental Protection, Jiangsu Taiyuan Environmental Protection and Terreco Environmental Solutions Co., Ltd. attended the meeting, showcasing core technologies and solutions in water treatment, solid waste treatment, green park construction and smart environmental protection, and conducting precise docking with the Indonesian side.

During the meeting, ACEF and Indonesia's Danareksa officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking that the eco-industrial cooperation between the two sides under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative has entered the stage of substantive implementation. In the future, the two sides will carry out all-round cooperation in environmental governance of industrial parks, joint construction of green parks, technology transfer, project docking, talent exchange and other fields, promoting the high-quality "going global" of Chinese green brands and environmental protection technologies to Indonesia.

The meeting was hosted by ACEF, organized by its Belt and Road Eco-industry Cooperation Working Committee, Special Committee on Green City Development and Fujian Office, and supported by Sinar Mas Group. The meeting has consolidated the consensus on China-Indonesia ecological industry cooperation, built an efficient and practical docking platform, injected new impetus into the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative green development initiative in Southeast Asia, and helped the two countries jointly build a new pattern of green, low-carbon and sustainable industrial cooperation.
