Enterprises Share Best Practices, Showcasing China’s Green Technologies and Industrial Strength

A central feature of the event was a series of thematic presentations by five enterprises across computing infrastructure, new materials, automotive, energy, and digital infrastructure. Each company shared tangible approaches and outcomes from their low-carbon transitions, providing replicable and scalable solutions for Belt and Road partner countries.

BCI Group’s Integrated Net-Zero Computing Infra in Datong: A Technological Closed Loop Sets a Global Benchmark

Alex Ju, Founder and CEO of BCI Group, launched the“Vertically Integrated Net-Zero Computing Infrastructure Cluster.”Through three major technological innovations—integrated wind–solar–storage, zero-water-usage natural cooling, and cascaded waste   heat utilization—the data center achieves 100% green power, a PUE of 1.2 and over 70 million tons of cumulative carbon emissions reductions over the 25-year project life cycle. It sets a global net-zero benchmark while driving local industrial upgrading.

Kingfa Sci. & Tech. : Green, Low-Carbon Materials Empowering Sustainable Industrial Chains

Li Jianjun, Chief Scientist of Kingfa Sci. & Tech. Co., Ltd., presented the company’s “Green and Low-Carbon Advanced Materials Solutions,” covering both bio-based materials and recycled plastics. Its “recoone” brand enables high-value recycling of waste plastics, with an annual capacity exceeding 500,000 tons, producing over 2.3 million tons of eco-friendly products. With 20 years of circular-economy expertise, Kingfa advances sustainable development through its commitment to green, low-carbon, and circular materials.

Geely Auto Group: Full-Value-Chain Decarbonization and Green Supply Chains Lead Global Sustainable Mobility Transformation

Yu Shaohua, Director of ESG Management at Geely Auto Holdings (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd.’s Strategic Planning Center, stated that Geely’s decarbonization efforts center on full-value-chain carbon reduction and green supply chain system. Through the “Two Blue Geely Initiatives”, it has expanded intelligent hybrid and pure-electric product lines. By expanding intelligent hybrid and pure-electric product lines, Geely reduces carbon emissions and improves material circularity across the supply, manufacturing, and usage stages. The company aims to build a global sustainable mobility ecosystem in partnership with stakeholders worldwide.

Windey Energy: "Compute + Green Power" Upgrades Energy Transition

At COP30, Yu Yong (GM of Windey International) stated: Windey uses "compute + green power" integration to advance energy transition. It has deployed wind projects globally and joined Saudi Arabia’s 1800MW wind program; projects are implemented via 25-year PPAs. It also expands into hydrogen/compute (green value sectors) to build a green-power-based new productivity system.

Nova Complex at COP30: Building World-Class ESG Computing Infrastructure

At COP30, Mah Bernard, COO of Nova Complex, highlighted the company’s vertically integrated approach to developing zero-carbon computing facilities, achieving a PUE of 1.2, zero water usage, 100% green power, and full carbon offsetting. Its AI hub in Northern Europe—surrounded by forests and lakes and supported by abundant clean energy—demonstrates Nova Complex’s sustainable capabilities for the global computing power network.

The release of green cases is of profound significance: it solidifies the green foundation for the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Relevant parties released on-site in the press room the 2025 Belt and Road Green Supply Chain Cases and the first batch of shortlisted candidates for the 2025 Belt and Road Ecological Environment Governance Technology and Product Recommended Catalog.

A Chinese youth representative Ju Ran read the shortlisted names on site.

2025 Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Green Supply Chain Cases: First Batch of Shortlisted Candidates List

2025 Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Ecological Environment Governance Technology and Product Recommended Catalog: First Batch of Shortlisted Candidates List

The selection and release of the first batch of cases hold multiple necessities and great significance, which can be elaborated from the following three dimensions: From the perspective of global climate governance requirements, the 2024 report by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) indicates that to achieve the goal of limiting global warming to "well below 1.5°C" as stipulated in the Paris Agreement, carbon emissions need to be reduced by 40% compared with the 2019 level. However, data from the International Energy Agency (IEA) shows that global carbon dioxide emissions from the energy and industrial sectors reached 37.6 billion metric tons in 2024, a record high. Against this backdrop, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), as the world’s most promising platform for economic cooperation, its green development is directly linked to the realization of global climate goals. The release of these cases will provide a "toolkit" for carbon reduction to countries along the BRI routes, offering practical solutions to address emission reduction challenges.

In terms of the requirements for high-quality BRI development, releasing green cases is a concrete measure to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches on "jointly building the Belt and Road". By sharing the low-carbon experience of Chinese enterprises in fields such as computing power, materials, automobiles, and energy, it not only promotes the "going global" of China’s ecological and environmental technologies but also attracts the "bringing in" of advanced technologies from countries along the routes. This two-way exchange helps consolidate a new foundation for industrial cooperation and contributes to building an "open, inclusive, balanced, and benefit-sharing" framework for regional economic cooperation.

From the perspective of enterprise practical value, the first batch of cases covers multiple key industries, and their technical paths and business models have been verified by the market. Typical examples include: BCI Group’s Collaborative development of computing power and electricity; Kingfa Sci. & Tech’s Plastic recycling and circular economy practices; Geely Auto’s Green supply chain construction. These cases provide "replicable, low-cost, and highly stable" transformation references for enterprises along the BRI routes. They help avoid "repeated trial and error", significantly accelerating the low-carbon transformation process of the global industrial chain.

2026 Beijing Forum to Deepen Cooperation and Promote "Going Global" of Green Brands

Shi Xiang stated that to further expand the influence of BRI green development cases, the All-China Environment Federation plans to host the "Belt and Road Green Brand Overseas Promotion Event & The Belt and Road Economic & Environmental Cooperation Forum" in Beijing on January 29, 2026. The forum will bring together Chinese and foreign political figures, scholars, ambassadors of various countries to China, diplomats, as well as top environmental protection enterprises at home and abroad to jointly discuss how to promote the development of the green industry under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and how to achieve the sustainable governance of the ecological environment through technological innovation and policy support, build a platform for in-depth exchanges, systematically release the final list of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Green Supply Chain Cases and the Catalog of Ecological Environment Governance Technologies and Products, conduct discussions on topics such as "Green Technological Innovation", "International Industrial Cooperation" and "Paths for Brand Globalization", enhance the recognition and competitiveness of BRI green brands in the global market, and inject lasting impetus into the coordinated development of regional economy and environment.

The holding of this year’s COP30 side event is not only a window for Chinese enterprises to showcase their green transformation achievements to the world but also a milestone marking BRI green development’s transition from "practical exploration" to "case-based knowledge sharing". With the promotion of the 2025 cases and the preparation for the 2026 forum, the BRI will further serve as a "green link" for global climate governance, contributing more cooperative solutions to the joint building of a clean and beautiful world.
