A New Chapter in China-Arab Green Industrial Cooperation: “Belt and Road” Green Brand Going Global (UAE–Dubai) Green Industry Exchange Conference Successfully Held in Beijing
On July 24, 2025, to deepen China-Arab green industry cooperation and support Chinese environmental protection enterprises in exploring the Middle Eastern market, the Belt and Road Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee of the All-China Environment Federation (ACEF), in collaboration with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, successfully held the “Belt and Road Green Brand Going Global (UAE–Dubai) Green Industry Exchange Conference” in Beijing.
The event brought together representatives from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce China Office and various enterprises in the environmental sector to explore innovative paths for international cooperation in the green industry and promote green, low-carbon, and sustainable development under the Belt and Road Initiative. The conference was hosted by Mr. Shi Xiang, Vice Chair and Secretary-General of the Belt and Road Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee of ACEF.
Jointly Advancing Green Cooperation: Opening a New Chapter in China-Arab Relations
ACEF, emphasized that ACEF has always adhered to the concept of “Greater China, Greater Environment, Greater Unity,” and actively promotes global environmental governance and international cooperation. She noted the high complementarity between China and the UAE in fields such as new energy and environmental technologies. It is hoped that this exchange conference will provide a practical cooperation platform for enterprises from both sides, promoting the sharing of green technologies and coordinated industrial development.
Mr. Wang Kang, Chief Representative of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, introduced the Chamber’s global presence, with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, and 38 offices worldwide covering major economies. He highlighted Dubai’s role as a pioneer city in global green economic development, its strong emphasis on environmental industries, and its commitment to becoming a strategic hub for Chinese enterprises going global. Currently, the Dubai Chamber has over 400,000 member companies, including more than 10,000 Chinese businesses. Mr. Wang stated, “Dubai and China are highly aligned in their green development philosophies. The concept that ‘lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets’ also resonates deeply in Dubai. We look forward to more Chinese environmental enterprises using Dubai as a springboard to expand into the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and broader global markets, jointly creating new opportunities in the global green economy.”
Policy Empowerment and Practical Guidance to Support Overseas Going Global
Ms. Du Yang, Assistant Secretary-General of the Belt and Road Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee of ACEF, gave an in-depth interpretation of the “Belt and Road” Green Brand Going Global policy. With technology and products at its core, the initiative selects a batch of innovative, mature, and internationally applicable eco-environmental governance technologies and products through public calls, authoritative evaluation, and focused selection. These are showcased through international conferences, promotional events, and exchange platforms to facilitate project implementation in key countries. The initiative serves as a bridge for Chinese enterprises to enter the international market, helping them go global, enhance international influence, and promote Chinese green brands worldwide—showcasing China’s wisdom, solutions, and strength.
In the enterprise sharing session, Ms. Ding Xuemei, Marketing Manager of Xiamen Zhongchuang Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., presented standardized exports and localized practices of Chinese environmental technologies based on successful cases in the Middle East, demonstrating China's technological capabilities in global environmental governance. Mr. Guo Jia, General Manager of the Beijing Branch of Hangzhou Water Treatment Technology R&D Center Co., Ltd., focused on the company's core businesses in chemical new materials, industrial water supply, high-salinity water treatment, and resource recovery, and shared innovative cooperation models with Middle Eastern clients in seawater desalination and green infrastructure construction.
Focusing on Green Economy: Exploring New Cooperation Opportunities
During the open networking session, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on “New Paths for China-Arab Green Cooperation.” Many enterprises had direct exchanges with the Dubai Chamber, expressing the hope that ACEF and the Dubai Chamber will further connect resources in the UAE and surrounding markets, leveraging global networks to go global into the UAE and broader Middle Eastern markets.

Going forward, the Belt and Road Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee of ACEF will continue optimizing cross-border cooperation platforms, providing all-round support for Chinese environmental enterprises in going global, and promoting high-quality development of the global green economy. By deepening policy interpretation and sharing practical experience, the committee aims to help enterprises stay attuned to the green economic pulse, achieve dual drivers of technology and market, and jointly write a new chapter in China-Arab environmental cooperation.
