On February 27, 2025, a delegation from the Belt and Road Committee of the All-China Environment Federation (ACEF), including Secretary-General Shi Xiang and Celine Du from the International Department, visited the Embassy of Jordan in China. They held discussions with Jordanian Ambassador to China H.E. H.E.Ambassador Hussam Al Husseini and Counselor Mamoun Alfaqier, focusing on China-Arab environmental industry cooperation, green technology innovation, and sustainable development. This meeting laid a crucial foundation for the upcoming “China-Arab Industry Matchmaking Conference” scheduled for mid-April.
At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary-General Shi Xiang provided a detailed introduction to the organizational background and objectives of the All-China Environment Federation (ACEF). ACEF is committed to promoting environmental protection and sustainable development both in China and globally, advancing the internationalization of China's environmental protection industry, and fostering global green development. By establishing platforms for domestic and international exchanges, ACEF aims to promote international cooperation and innovation in the environmental protection industry. This visit to the Jordanian Embassy in China is intended to deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of environmental protection between China and Arab countries, and to jointly explore international pathways for green brands.
Ambassador H.E.Ambassador Hussam Al Husseini warmly welcomed the ACEF delegation and highly appreciated ACEF’s efforts in the environmental sector. He emphasized Jordan’s strong commitment to environmental protection and its goal of increasing the share of renewable energy to 20% by 2030. He expressed Jordan’s keen interest in practical cooperation with Chinese enterprises in areas such as solar and wind energy, solid waste management, and water environment treatment.
A key topic of discussion was the upcoming“Belt and Road Green Brand Overseas Promotion Event (Arab Region)”, scheduled forApril 25, 2025. The event aims to invite100 representatives from Chinese enterprisesin the renewable energy, solid waste management, and other environmental protection industries tofacilitate China-Arab cooperation in the green sector. The event will feature keynote speeches, project promotion sessions, and matchmaking meetings to drive international industrial collaboration, particularly in environmental projects with Middle Eastern and Arab countries. To deepen China-Jordan environmental cooperation, the Belt and Road Committee plans to organize aJordan-focused energy and environmental protection sessionduring the event to help Chinese and Jordanian enterprises establish precise business connections and achieve concrete cooperation. Secretary-General Shi Xiang sincerely invited Ambassador H.E.Ambassador Hussam Al Husseini to attend and support the event.
Ambassador H.E.Ambassador expressed great interest in the initiative and looked forward to actively participating. He pledged to coordinate with relevant Jordanian departments togather environmental industry demandsanddeliver a keynote speechat the forum, introducing Jordan’s investment opportunities and cooperation prospects to fosterChina-Jordan environmental industry partnerships.
Looking ahead, the Belt and Road Committee plans to visitEgypt in May 2025, marking a breakthrough in deepening environmental cooperation with Arab countries. Additionally, visits toother Arab nations between June and Augustare planned to further explore China-Arab environmental collaboration opportunities. Ambassador H.E.Ambassador Hussam Al Husseini expressed his support for these initiatives and suggestedstrengthening exchanges and cooperationto promote international partnerships in the environmental field.

The event aims to bring together100 representatives, including officials fromArab League member states, government agencies, media, research institutions, and leading enterprises.
Throughpolicy briefings, discussions, experience sharing, project showcases, and business matchmaking, the event seeks to:

· Provide authoritative, timely, and effective international environmental cooperation information;
