A delegation led by All China Environment Federation visited Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party

On April 19, Chairman Sun Xiaohua, vice chairman and Secretary General Xie Yuhong of the All China Environment Federation, Shi Xiang, Secretary General of "the Belt and Road" Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee, Liu Yuanjun, Secretary General of the Water Environment Governance professional Committee, and others went to the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party for exchanges. Qu Fenghong, the permanent member and Deputy Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC and full-time Vice Chairman of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, Geng Lili, director of the Central Social Service Department of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, and others welcomed the visit of the All China Environment Federation.

Qu Fenghong welcomed Sun Xiaohua and his delegation. Qu Fenghong said that as a national social organization, the All China Environment Federation plays an important role in implementing the sustainable development strategy, achieving the national environment and development goals, and safeguarding the public and social environmental rights and interests.

Qu Fenghong mentioned that the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party attaches great importance to the important role of environmental protection in the realization of people's well-being, and pays attention to the organic combination of party main sectors, social service functions and environmental protection. He hoped that the Party and the Federation would establish a long-term cooperation mechanism to widely pool intellectual resources in the field of ecological environment, jointly promote green development and the construction of a beautiful China, and convey the voice of the Party. He suggested the both sides should do their best to hold the "Environment and Health Publicity week ,Rural Revitalization and Environmental Development Forum" held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province on June 8.

Sun Xiaohua said that the cooperation between the two sides should be on the right direction, find the path, pay attention to the ways and methods, explore the effects and promote them, encourage the cooperation by combining the environment and health, short-term and long-term. He suggested that the Party further improve Bijie’s economic index on the basis of helping it get rid of poverty, so as to fundamentally solve its sewage treatment and other problem and make a feasibility report on the environmental problems caused by the change of population structure.

Xie Yuhong said that all along, the All China Environment Federation has been adhering to the development concept of "Greater China, greater environment and greater union". It has maintained environmental rights and interests, participated in international non-governmental environmental exchanges, promoted public participation, and organized public welfare activities in favor of public welfare and on the basis of specialization. It has given full play to the advantages of expert resources and member enterprises, taking practical problems as the starting point to serve the government, enterprises and experts well. It aims to help protect the ecological environment and achieve the goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutralization" and make efforts to continuously promote high-quality economic and social development.

Geng Lili said that during the week of World Environment Day on June 5 every year, the Party holds the theme activity of "Environment and Health Publicity Week", hoping to cooperate with the All China Environment Federation in 2022 to realize the good wishes of big environment and big alliance. She proposed that the theme activity of "environment and health publicity week" be jointly held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province during the week of World Environment Day on June 5, 2022, which complements the advantages of Jiangxi carbon reduction achievements and plays a demonstration and driving role.

"2022 Environment and Health Publicity Week and forum on Rural Revitalization and Environmental Development" is cosponsored by the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, All China Environment Federation, China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Shanghai University, Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party and Jiangxi Science and Technology Association. The Forum will be held in Nanchang, Jiangxi from August 9 to 11, 2022. The activity will focus on the theme of "improving rural habitation environment, building beautiful and healthy villages".
