The new rural domestic sewage source separation and treatment system based on negative pressure (vacuum) collection method


Technical principle

The vacuum drainage system mainly uses the high-speed air flow generated by the negative pressure in the vacuum pipeline to transport sewage. It is a fully closed system, which is composed of air flushing toilet, vacuum collector (collection chamber), negative pressure sewage discharge pipe, negative pressure collection center (vacuum station) and monitoring system.


Scope of application

The project aims to break through the traditional gravity flow mixed transportation mode of urban sewage and establish a new mode of rural sewage discharge in view of the current situation of rural sewage discharge in China where the rain sewage and fecal sewage are commonly combined and the domestic sewage treatment facilities are difficult to operate effectively.


Process flow and description

To separate black water (fecal sewage) and gray water (domestic miscellaneous drainage) from the source by installing air flushing toilet and vacuum collector into the house. For the toilet sewage, the vacuum air flushing toilet device takes the negative pressure as the drainage driving force to discharge the high concentration manure and urine sewage into the black water negative pressure pipe; the domestic sewage (gray water) is accepted and transported by the negative pressure collector, and automatically drained to the gray water negative pressure pipe after reaching the set liquid level. The whole system power is provided through the negative pressure collection center, and all the sewage is discharged separately into the negative pressure collection center through the negative pressure black water / gray water pipeline. After the sewage is cached to the set liquid level, the sewage pressured is discharged to the subsequent centralized treatment facilities.


Promotion prospects

China's CCTV series of current political programs have reported the Tianjin demonstration project of this technology, which has a far-reaching impact in China. The start and operation of the demonstration project is almost six times the size of the world's largest existing source separation demonstration project (Jenfelder Au, 600 households). At the same time, after the implementation of the project, the  neighboring villages will further adopt this technology, which can be promoted and applied in the whole country and even the world in demand in the future.
