Chile believes that the "Belt and Road" is an important platform for international cooperation, which has brought us very good long-term cooperation opportunities and long-term markets. At the same time, Chile also knows that China has made great efforts in connectivity. Chile also hopes to enhance connectivity and common prosperity in Asia and other continents through the "Belt and Road". Chile hopes that China can extend the “Belt and Road" agreement to Latin America. Chile and China are gateway countries on all continents, and both countries have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in November 2018. Chile hopes to attract different investments in different areas, such as telecommunications, renewable energy, clean energy, and more cooperation in infrastructure. Under the framework of the "Belt and Road", investment in infrastructure can greatly enhance Chile's ability to cope with climate change. It is hoped that more Chinese enterprises will invest in Chile.
