The Working Committee and its delegation visited the Norwegian Embassy in China

27thJuly, the delegation headed by Shi Xiang, Secretary General of "the Belt and Road" Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee of the All China Environment Federation paid a visit to the Norwegian Embassy in China, and Mr. Christoffer Grnstad, Environmental Counselor of the Embassy in China, and Mr. Song Side, Counselor of International Project Development, welcomed Shi Xiang and his delegation.

Secretary General Shi Xiang introduced in detail the development history and vision of the China Environmental Protection Federation to the Norwegian Embassy in China. At the same time, he also explained in detail the basic functions of the of "the Belt and Road" Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee prepared by our association, and how to use the advantages of the platform to tell the world the story of China's environmental protection, and promote international exchanges and cooperation between Chinese ecological environment enterprises and countries along the Belt and Road. Secretary General Shi Xiang also formally issued an invitation to the Norwegian Embassy in China to participate in a series of activities such as the "Belt and Road economic and Environmental Cooperation Forum" organized by the All China Environment Federation.

Secretary General Shi Xiang also mentioned the ongoing cooperation between Chongli District People's Government of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, where the 2022 Winter Olympic Games will be held, and our association. He said: Norway, as a country that has hosted the Winter Olympic Games many times, has rich resources and experience in ice and snow events as well as ice and snow technology and equipment. In the future, we will work with the Norwegian Embassy to use the "the Belt and Road international industrial cooperation platform" to promote the cooperation between Norwegian and Chinese local governments or cooperation between famous universities. Mr. Christoffer Grnstad, Environmental Counselor of the Norwegian Embassy in China, said that Norway attaches great importance to ecological environmental protection, climate change and biodiversity, actively carries out international cooperation under the framework of the United Nations, and has carried out fruitful cooperation with the China International Cooperation Committee on environment and development for many years. Ms. Qu Lei, a senior official of the energy and Environment Association of the Norwegian Embassy, also introduced in detail the work that Norwegian energy enterprises in China, and their attention to and participation in black carbon transport governance and carbon trading.


The Norwegian Embassy welcomes a series of cooperation proposals and ideas put forward by Secretary General Shi Xiang and will put cooperation on the agenda.
