Technical principle

Oily sludge pyrolysis technology is to heat the sludge at high temperature in the absence of oxygen or oxygen-deficient condition, and due to the instability of organic matter, the light components and moisture in the crude oil are evaporated by heating, the heavy components in crude oil that cannot be evaporated are converted into light components by  decomposition, and then evaporated from the soil in the form of gas, so as to realize the separation of crude oil, and obtain pyrolysis oil, non-condensable combustible gas and solid outputs.


Scope of application

It can be used for non-hazardous treatment, reduction and recycling treatment of oily sludge, capable of treating the “HW08” waste mineral oil and waste containing mineral oil (such as landing oily sludge, tank bottom oily sludge, refinery oily sludge, ground oil spill, waste mineral oil, wastes stained with oil and other oil-containing wastes generated in the process of natural gas exploitation, oil exploration, exploitation, refining, tank cleaning, storage and transportation, and oily wastewater treatment), mixture or emulsion of the“HW09” oil / water, hydrocarbon / water, the“HW11” distillation residue (tar residue, distillation residue, etc.), wastes stained with oil in the“HW49” other wastes, and some of waste activated carbon, etc.


Process flow and description

The oily sludge is continuously sent into the pyrolysis reactor through the conveyor with sealing device, and the low-temperature pyrolysis reaction is carried out in the reactor to obtain high-temperature oil gas, water vapor and solid products. After cooling and separating high temperature oil gas and steam, liquid products and a small amount of combustible gas are obtained. The liquid products are transported to the tank farm by the oil transfer pump. After being purified and stabilized, the combustible gas is used as fuel for the heating of pyrolysis. The flue gas generated by the production line is discharged meeting the standards after being purified by the flue gas purification system. The solid products obtained from pyrolysis are cooled to a safe temperature and then transported to the solid outputs hopper for temporary storage.


Promotion prospects

Oily sludge itself is not only a hazardous waste, but also contains a large amount of oil resources. Whether the oil can be recovered in the treatment process is related to the treatment effect of sludge and the economic benefits of sludge treatment enterprises. Using pyrolysis technology and equipment to treat oily sludge has the characteristics of low treatment cost, excellent treatment effect, capability of recovering of most oil products, etc., which conforms to the requirements of national policies and the development trend of green environmental protection equipment, and helps to promote the realization of the goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality". With the continuous improvement of national requirements for environmental protection and energy saving, pyrolysis technology especially industrial continuous pyrolysis technology will become one of the mainstream methods for oily sludge treatment.
