VOCs adsorption concentration and low temperature catalytic combustion technology


Technical principle

Adsorption principle: Because there is an unbalanced and unsaturated molecular gravity or chemical bond force on the solid surface, so when the solid surface is in contact with the gas, it can attract the gas molecules, make it concentrated and maintained on the solid surface, this phenomenon is called adsorption. The adsorption method is to make use of the adsorption capacity of the solid surface, so that the exhaust gas and the porous solid material on the large surface contact, the pollutants in the exhaust gas are adsorbed on the solid surface, so that it is separated from the gas mixture, so as to achieve the purpose of purification.

Catalytic principle: Catalytic combustion is a kind of low-temperature flameless combustion technology. It uses a catalyst to reduce the reaction energy barrier between VOCs molecule and oxygen molecule, so as to react at low temperature (200 ~ 450℃) to generate carbon dioxide and water. Catalytic combustion is widely used because of its energy-saving, safety and high conversion rate.


Scope of application

The products are suitable for chemical, pharmaceutical, painting, printing and other industries, and can also be customized to meet the needs of different levels of the market.


Process flow and description

Adsorption concentration:


1) Adsorption and purification process: exhaust gas → pretreatment → zeolite fixed bed A adsorption (B desorption) → fan → standard discharge.

2) When the zeolite fixed bed A adsorption reaches saturation, stop the adsorption operation, close the adsorption valve, open the desorption valve, hot air flow will be organic matter from the zeolite molecular sieve adsorption device desorption down to regenerate, the general concentration times 10 ~ 100 times. High concentration organic matter after desorption is catalyzed to form carbon dioxide and water. 

The process is as follows: heated gas → zeolite desorption → catalytic oxidation → fan → standard discharge. Part of the oxidized tail gas is discharged to the atmosphere, and part is recycled back to the zeolite box for desorption and regeneration of adsorbed materials.

Since the research, this technology has been recognized by many domestic industry users (Qingdao Huashijie Environmental Protection Technology Co., LTD., Shanghai Mestek Environmental Co., LTD., Jiayuan Environmental Protection Co., LTD.) and reached strategic cooperation intention; In addition, the product performance has been tested and verified by Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry, and all indicators are qualified. At present, it has been successfully used in CRRC, CIMC, CSSC, Midea, Gree, Daikin air conditioning, Giant bicycle, Qianjiang motorcycle, BYD Automobile, Sany Heavy Industry, Jinlong Bus and other leading enterprises in the industry.
