Technical principle

Through the construction of the mine scene at the project site, the impact of the project life cycle on the environment is deduced, and the ecological protection technology (acid water collection and drainage technology, surface and underground comprehensive drainage technology, fine simulation technology of solid waste, ecological protection and reconstruction technology of acid conditions) is applied to endow the project scene with ecological characteristics close to the original state, protect the environment while protecting safety, and achieve the purpose of building a green mine.

Process flow and description

Aiming at the problem of ecological protection and reconstruction of large open-pit mine engineering scene in tropical rain forest area, based on Mirador copper mine in Ecuador, South America, analyze, study and construct the environmental damage and pollution factors of the engineering scene. Under the conditions of high environmental protection standards, dispose and treat the solid waste and wastewater produced in the engineering scene, focusing on the rainfall duration characteristics and the geometric structure of solid waste yard in rain forest area, According to the characteristics of rainfall duration and the refined geometric structure of solid waste yard, "a method to prevent the water scouring hazard at the junction of mine solid waste yard and mountain" is adopted to optimize the drainage path of clean water and sewage, centralized treatment and recycling of sewage (acid water), and ecological protection of solid waste yard based on sol spraying and grass planting; For the rich water slope of the engineering scene, "a collection and drainage system of fissure water gushing from easily weathered rock slope" is used for groundwater drainage, and "an integrated support carrier structure for ecological greening of steep slope" and "a support structure for greening of large open-pit mine slope" are used for ecological protection and reconstruction combined with spray seeding technology; Realize the purpose of mining mineral resources and rebuilding the ecological environment at the same time.

The technology was selected into the national standard of Ecuador and recommended for the industry; Meanwhile, the technology will have good prospects for popularization and application in all the mining industry of the countries near the equator and the rainforest area in the  “one belt-one road” initiative .
