“The Belt and Road” Green Brand Going Global Initiative Facilitates a Visit by the Kiribati Delegation to Shandong Julong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd
From October 18 to 19, 2025, under the organization and coordination of the Belt and Road Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee of the All-China Environment Federation (ACEF),The Honourable Alexander Teabo, Minister for Information, Communication and Transport of the Republic of Kiribati, led a delegation to visit Shandong Julong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Julong). The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Shi Xiang, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the ACEF Belt and Road Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee. Julong’s top management, including Chairman Mr. Wang Peng, General Manager Mr. Ou Yang, and General Manager for International Business Mr. Song Zhen, warmly received the guests and held in-depth discussions.

This visit represents one of the major outcomes of the Belt and Road Green Brand Global Expansion Program, further deepening practical cooperation between China and Pacific island countries in ecological governance and sustainable development, marking a solid new step forward for the global outreach of China’s green technologies.
Green Brand Going Global Program: Building a New Platform for International Cooperation
Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Green Brand Global Overseas Promotion Conference
The cooperation opportunity originated from the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Green Brand Global Overseas Promotion Conference held in Beijing in January 2025. Hosted by the All-China Environment Federation, the conference gathered envoys from Belt and Road countries, representatives of international organizations, and green enterprise leaders. It aimed to accelerate the internationalization of China’s green technologies and brands while promoting mutually beneficial cooperation in the ecological industry.

During the conference, Shandong Julong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., as one of the key enterprises, delivered a presentation titled “Application of Modular Small and Medium-sized Aquatic Work Equipment in Water Ecological Governance Projects.” Julong introduced its innovative practices in water ecological management, intelligent dredging equipment, and ecological restoration, which attracted wide attention from attendees, especially H. E. Mr. David Teaabo, Ambassador of Kiribati to China.
Through this green brand promotion platform led by ACEF, the Kiribati side gained a comprehensive understanding of Julong’s technical capabilities and engineering experience. With ACEF’s facilitation, both sides established an initial communication mechanism. After multiple rounds of coordination by ACEF, the visit was successfully arranged, becoming a model of transformation from “promotion and display” to “practical cooperation” within the Belt and Road Green Brand Global Expansion Program.
Field Visit: Showcasing China’s Intelligence and Strength in Green Equipment
Accompanied by Secretary-General Shi Xiang and Chairman Wang Peng, Minister Alexander Teabo, Ambassador David Teaabo, and other delegates visited Julong’s manufacturing workshop, technology exhibition center, and equipment commissioning base. The delegation received detailed briefings on the manufacturing process, technical parameters, and operational performance of Julong’s environmental dredging equipment and observed field demonstrations of intelligent dredgers and amphibious dredging systems.

Julong has established a comprehensive technology system centered on intelligentization, modularization, and greening, achieving significant results in lake rehabilitation, port maintenance, and wetland restoration. The Kiribati delegation highly commended the equipment’s efficiency and eco-friendly characteristics, noting that such Chinese innovations hold strong applicability and demonstration value for island nations.
In-depth Exchange: Addressing Practical Needs in Island Nations’ Ecological Governance

Following the site visit, an in-depth discussion was held. The Kiribati representatives outlined the country’s pressing environmental challenges — including long-term sedimentation of lagoons and ports, serious coastal erosion, shortage of freshwater resources, and seawater intrusion.
In response, Julong presented a range of customized solutions, such as:
-
Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD) for efficiently removing coral sediment to restore navigation and fisheries;
-
Amphibious dredging equipment capable of operating flexibly in shallow waters and tidal flats, ideal for island and inland environments.
Both parties held detailed discussions on topics such as equipment adaptation, project implementation, personnel training, and post-operation maintenance. The Kiribati side expressed its hope to explore localized ecological management models suitable for island countries through ACEF’s green cooperation platform and collaboration with Chinese enterprises.
Cooperation Achievements and Demonstration Significance: Building a Green Model under the BRI
Minister Alexander Teabo expressed appreciation for ACEF’s thoughtful arrangements and spoke highly of Julong’s technological innovation and international capacity. He stated: “This visit has given us a deep insight into China’s advanced green technologies and provided new solutions for Kiribati’s ecological management. We look forward to establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism and launching pilot projects as soon as possible.”
Secretary-General Shi Xiang noted that ACEF would continue to serve as a bridge and platform, following up on the progress of cooperation, and promoting practical collaboration in dredging governance, port maintenance, lagoon restoration, and technical training, to help Kiribati enhance its environmental governance capacity and infrastructure resilience.
Effects of the Going Global Initiative: ACEF’s Practical Efforts in Promoting Green Brand Internationalization
This visit was not merely a bilateral technical exchange but also a vivid outcome of the Belt and Road Green Brand Global Expansion Program. By establishing an integrated platform that unites government, industry, academia, and research, ACEF helps Chinese green enterprises move from “being noticed” to “being trusted,” and ultimately to “achieving cooperation.” Julong serves as a successful example of this mechanism.
Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Green Brand Global Overseas Promotion Conference
Through the “Going Global” initiative, an increasing number of Chinese environmental protection enterprises are stepping onto the global stage, participating in international ecological governance. This program not only showcases China’s innovative strength in green technology, but also provides replicable and scalable cooperation models for Belt and Road countries.
Outlook: Jointly Building a Blue Path of Sustainable Development
This visit has opened a new chapter of practical cooperation between China and Kiribati in the field of ecological and environmental protection.
In the future, ACEF will continue leveraging the Belt and Road Green Brand Global Expansion Program to integrate policy, industrial, and international resources, supporting the global expansion of outstanding Chinese green enterprises and providing sustainable green solutions for developing countries.
ACEF remains committed to the principles of co-building and sharing, promoting the deep integration of China’s green technologies with international partners, and contributing Chinese wisdom and solutions to global sustainable development—jointly building a clean, beautiful, and sustainable blue planet for all.
