The Working Committee and its delegation visited the Italian Embassy in China

18thMay, the delegation headed by Shi Xiang, Secretary General of "the Belt and Road" Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee of the All China Environment Federation and Liu Yuanjun, Secretary General of the Water Environment Governance professional Committee paid a visit to the Italian Embassy in China. Mr. Eugenio Poti, Deputy Director of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Italian Embassy, and Ms. Maria, an official of the Economic and Commercial department, received the delegation. The two sides have conducted in-depth discussions on how to promote bilateral ecological environmental protection, climate change and international industrial cooperation between China and Italy. They have reached a lot of consensus in many areas of cooperation and will continue to maintain close cooperation.

Secretary General Shi Xiang introduced the background of the establishment of the All China Environment Federation, which has been committed to promoting sustainable development cooperation in the field of ecological and environmental protection in China and internationally under the guidance of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment for many years. It is hoped to work with the Italian Embassy in China to promote communication and practical cooperation between China and Italy at the levels of government and non-governmental organizations and promoting bilateral international industrial parks.


Mr. Eugenio Poti introduced that as the rotating presidency of G20 and CORP26, Italy has organized and participated in bilateral and multilateral international forums and summits under the framework of the United Nations and the European Union, and actively promoted sustainable development in the field of ecological environment protection. At present, it is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy. Italy has actively participated in the Belt and Road initiative put forward by China and has launched a large number of practical cooperation with the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Energy and other government agencies and NGOs. Mr. Eugenio Poti expressed his hope to deepen cooperation with us so as to promote international exchanges and cooperation between non-governmental environmental protection organizations, public welfare organizations and enterprises of the two countries.
