Leaders of the Working Committee visited the Indonesian Embassy in China

30thApr, the delegation headed by Shi Xiang, Secretary General of "the Belt and Road" Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee of the All China Environment Federation and Liu Yuanjun, Secretary General of the Water Environment Governance professional Committee paid a visit to the Indonesian Embassy in China. H.E. Dino, Minister of the Indonesia Embassy in China, received the delegation. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on promoting the development of non-governmental cooperation.

Minister Dino said that during President Xi Jinping's visit to Indonesia in 2015, he proposed the initiative of China and Indonesia to jointly build the the Belt and Road, and signed a national strategic cooperation memorandum in the fields of economy, trade, culture and environmental protection. As a strategic partner of China, Indonesia has always paid constant attention to the field of environmental protection, and hopes that the cooperation with the Chinese government in the field of environmental protection will play an exemplary role for other countries along the Belt and Road.


Secretary General Shi Xiang appreciated the Minister for his warm reception on first and introduced the development history and vision of the All China Environment Federation. He also invited his Excellency the ambassador to China and the minister to participate in the summit activities held by the Federation, and exchanged in-depth views with the minister on environmental protection, climate change, ecological agriculture, promoting the establishment of friendly cities between the two countries, and international industrial park cooperation.



Secretary General Liu Yuanjun introduced to Minister Dino the background of the establishment of the Water Commission and experts in the field, and said that he was very looking forward to extensively cooperating with Indonesia in academic exchanges, training, industrial implementation, etc.



The meeting is of far-reaching significance to the future cooperation between the two sides in the field of environmental protection. It is not only limited to bilateral economic, trade and people to people exchanges, but also jointly promote in-depth cooperation between China and Indonesia in environmental protection, climate change and clean energy, and enhance international exchanges and cooperation between non-governmental environmental protection organizations, public welfare organizations and enterprises of the two countries.
